It is a privilege to serve as Chair of the Santosh Goyal Foundation, where our mission is to enhance the lives of vulnerable and elderly individuals through compassion, dignity, and access to essential support. This work reflects a lifelong commitment to building stronger, more caring communities. 

My professional journey began in 1976 after qualifying with a diploma in Electrics and Electronics from East Ham College. I played a leading role in establishing my family’s first newsagent and went on to expand the business into a successful chain during the 1980s. That entrepreneurial foundation led to the creation of Metro Properties in 1977—an award-winning enterprise in the property sector. 

In 1997, alongside my brothers, I co-founded Hallmark Care Homes. As a shareholder, I take great pride in the organisation’s continued dedication to providing outstanding residential, nursing, and dementia care across the UK. 

I also serve as a Trustee of both the Hemraj Goyal Foundation and the Hallmark Care Homes Foundation, enabling me to support charitable efforts that empower individuals and address social inequalities.  

My commitment through all these roles is rooted in a belief that everyone—particularly the elderly and vulnerable—deserves to age with respect, security, and a sense of belonging. Through our foundations and partnerships, we strive to deliver meaningful impact where it is most needed.
